The tranquility and beauty that is found in most of the beaches of Fuerteventura is an indisputable attraction for tourists and residents. In today’s post we tell you about some beaches with winds ideal for catching the best waves.

Generosa beach
Is a windy, little-frequented beach in the north. Its waves reach 2 m. In autumn and winter is the best season to be visited by advanced surfers.
Northern beaches
Like Las Dunas de Corralejo and its coves are areas of strong winds although they are family friendly.
Cotillo
Piedra Playa is a place seldom frequented by swimmers, although a beach visited by surfers and Kiters due to the wind and its strong waves.
Moro beach
Is located in the north of the island has about 600km of extension. It is a virgin environment, with moderate winds and few visitors. Generally all year round the wind blows in direction O, NO, N this makes it an ideal beach to practice Surf, Windsurf and Kite. The size of its waves varies between 1m and 2m.
Entubadera beach
Is a beach of the north, rocky in the extreme north and south. Similar to a sand-covered reef, it is generally populated by surfers. The size of their waves is between 1m and 2m and the best winds are when they blow in direction O, NO, N. It is suitable for surfers and advanced kiteboarders.
Blanca beach
Is located in the center of the island, in Puerto del Rosario. Although it is usual to find good waves throughout the year, it is in winter when the wind blows more strongly in the direction of N, NE and E. The waves are in the NE, E direction and vary between 0.5 m and 2 m in height. It is an ideal beach for beginners.
Peninsula of JandÃa
In beaches like Morro Jable, Solana-Matorral, Esquinzo-Butihondo are winds propitious for the fans to the waves.
Barlovento beach in JandÃa

Another important beach in the south of the island is Cofete, with strong winds and high waves, ranging from 1m to 3m, so be careful when you are in the water.
