As every 5th of January in Fuerteventura, the traditional procession of the Three Wise Men takes place, their Majesties come from the East and parade with their camels through the streets of the city where they give sweets to the children.
Their Majestic, camels and lots of magic!
In Corralejo the parade starts in the water park and marches through the main street to the plaza while in Puerto del Rosario, the traditional parade begins at the pier. It is a date full of excitement, entertainment and activities for the whole family, a tradition that illuminates the streets and municipalities of Fuerteventura with the smiles of many children who will no doubt be amazed and will want to repeat the experience and why not give them they also the opportunity to ride on a real camel? In Fuerteventura it is possible!
The majorero camels are native to Africa, were introduced to the Canary Islands in 1405 and are capable of supporting up to 500 kilos. And although they are actually dromedaries, since they have only one hump, since they came to the island they were simply called camels.
In this month of January, just when the Kings of the East arrive on the island, at Oasis Park Fuerteventura you can give your children an exciting camel ride through the Dunes of Corralejo!
You can choose the duration of the trip since there are two options: a short tour of the park or you can choose a longer trip, with which you will reach the top of the mountain. The camels are always under the supervision of trained and experienced guides, who will take care of the children at all times so that they only dedicate themselves to enjoy and photograph the camels and the different landscapes to remember them forever.
Another option that can be done is to hire the camel ride through the Dunes of Corralejo and add an ecological Buggy tour. The approximate duration is 3 hours of excursion and the departure can be in the morning at 10.00 or in the afternoon at 14.30 from the commercial center of Corralejo.
