As every year on of the island Fuerteventura, the 33rd edition of the most anticipated event in the world of kitesurfing and windsurfing was held: “La Carpa of Fuerteventura 2018”. Once again, this event was organized by the renowned René Egli who brings us this exciting international competition to our island every year.
From July 19 to August 4, 2018 in the “Carpa” you could enjoy excellent music and the most impressive competitions live, full of adrenaline and enthusiasm.

Thanks to the privileged weather conditions of the Sotavento beach, in the Majorera Island every year you can enjoy this event that has international recognition, where athletes from many countries come to test their skills in the middle of the waves.
As it could not be otherwise, the programming during the Windsurfing and Kitesurf World Championship in 2018 was full of fun events, night parties and the presence of international deejays and high level artists, such as Jarabe de Palo, Edwin Rivera. Karol G, NioGarcia, Jillionaire, among many other well-known singers who went through the “Carpa” of Fuerteventura.
The calendar of events for this year was formed as follows, from July 20 to July 25 the GKA Kitesurf Strapless Freestyle Grand Slam competition was held, from 26/07 to 30/07 continued with the PWA Windsurf Freestyle Grand Slam, while from 31/07 to 04/08 took place the Windsurf slalom, PWA Windsurf Slalom Grand Slam.
During the day it was possible to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere for the whole family to contemplate the world stars up close, added to a delicious offer in gastronomy, live music and various events, such as interesting bachata classes and children’s activities.
At night the best music was combined with a dreamlike environment, surrounded by white sand, sea and a blanket of stars that invited the party to last until dawn.
The World Championship of Windsurfing and Kitesurfing is an event that year after year adds more followers and continues betting on the development of sport on the beaches of the beautiful island of Fuerteventura.
