If you are thinking or if you have already decided to stop living in an apartment and opt for a big change in your routine, living in a motorhome is undoubtedly an excellent choice. If in these times you can allow yourself to live somewhat away from the cities and their dynamism, which is often stressful and routine, you are truly a lucky person.

Living in a motorhome (things that I adapted to)

Living in Motorhome

Not all people are willing to make that change. We know that it is not the same to go out for a weekend or spend a few days on vacation, than to live full time in a motorhome, either alone or in a group.

Adapt to small spaces

Depending on how many members of the family or friends group are, they will have to find the right size and functional motorhome to make it their home. It is not the same to live alone, as a couple, with children or pets.

Logically the comforts and dimensions of the new house are small, but calm, that if we manage to organize ourselves well, we can adapt and live comfortably in a house on wheels, without missing anything.

We must get used to many new things that will be different from how they are normally done if you live in a house or apartment.

Save money

The gray water tank will fill more quickly if you frequently flush the toilet or if you use the shower many times a day, so take shorter showers and try not to sing more than one song underwater!

With less space to store things in the kitchen, it is almost inevitable to have to buy daily or every other day. The positive of this is that many times it is cheaper to do the purchase in small stores than in a supermarket. Besides saving, you will eat fresh food.

Saving space also means carefully selecting the elements that really are essential and getting rid of the things that are not essential for living.

Avoid breakdowns

Carrying out the correct maintenance of the motorhome is essential to avoid sudden inconveniences that ruin the plans. Many times we leave to fix small details or check the engine at another time. It is advisable to be proactive and keep up to date when it comes to regular vehicle maintenance, since we depend on it to continue driving and living comfortably.

Everything in its place

Being organized above all things is the key to living peacefully in a small space. Assigning a place to each element and that everyone respects that order will save you a lot of headaches.

Planning in advance each visit to other cities knowing the best route to get there will also save you gas. Your home will have a smaller space inside, but a whole world outside awaits you to explore.
